Dan Van Gorkom has over 30 years’ experience in the design and installation of A/V, acoustics and lighting systems. He has degrees in audio engineering and music. He is certified with Crestron, Extron, Yamaha, Avid, BSS, BiAmp and TriCaster and has installed and programmed each type of gear repeatedly. His expertise is not just in how each individual system operates, but in how to integrate them into a cohesive system. Dan uses AutoCAD and Vectorworks to work with architects and production managers to accurately design technologies for their needs. He has designed and installed A/V systems in venues both large and small, including theaters, schools, homes, hotels, businesses, studios and auditoriums.
In addition to his passion for AV, Dan has also served as worship pastor in small and large churches for over 25 years. He has written and directed Broadway-style musicals with casts, costumes, sets, choirs and orchestras. (These required extensive use of audio, video and lighting techniques.) And he has led postmodern worship services, leading from guitars and keyboards. His varied experience makes Dan uniquely qualified to help clients choose and implement the right technologies to augment their message with a powerful presentation. His goal is to help clients reach their vision while being sensitive to the constraints of their budget.
The services we provide extend beyond design and installation of equipment. Dan’s experience and education in recording, live events, acoustics and training allows DVG Services to meet a wide range of needs in the field.
Whether your project is to add a projector to your basement home theater, record an album, rent sound for an outdoor event / indoor concert, or to design sound and lighting for a 3,000-seat auditorium, Dan has the experience, resources and partners required to meet your need.
